Now do not for a second assume that people like me do not have our own problem or do not get rejected by men. I do, but I have learnt to be a lot stronger by accepting that when rejection happens,it is because the union was never destined to happen. I also cry and move on, I am not a barbie doll who has an engine where a heart is supposed to be. I get hurt too by men, I am human, I fall in love and want what other women want too and in a relationship, I have also given too much too and got little or nothing in return too. A man has looked me in the eyes and told me that he cannot marry me because in his village, the first and last son must marry from the village. And he meant it. I looked at him with hurt, bade a tearful farewell and walked away. A man has looked at me told me he would have loved to marry me but I was too young and lacked the exposure he wanted in a woman, I was not angry, I went ahead and became the kind of woman he dreamed about and I was extremely happy the day he said you have become even more than I expected,I am proud of you. I went to his wedding and ate jollof,we remain friends till now. Someone has also said I would have loved to but I have someone else I am more in love with. I cried and left. We are still very close friends till today A man looked me in the eyes told me that he could not marry me because I was "Wrongly Exposed" (that was my first time of hearing that English though) he said in not so straight words that he did not think I came this far on my own that there must be sugar daddies funding the dreams.
