After the fall of Commonwealth, the people of England brought him back and made him king of England (on May 29, 1660). WOMEN IN GOD’S AGENDA Webster Dictionary defines the word agenda as a list, plan or outline of things to be done, matters to be acted upon. Therefore in examining God’s agenda for women, we shall be considering what plan, what outline of ideas God had in mind in creating women. God created everything with a purpose. His purposes were always planned ahead of time; everything was already “made” in the mind of the Maker before He created it.
The book begins in Jerusalem and ends at Rome. It describes the establishment and growth of the early church through the work of the Apostles under the direction of the Holy Spirit. The Act of the apostles is seen, as the continuation of the gospel according to Luke because the Opening message that was been address to Theophilus in the book of Luke was also indicated in the act of apostles. The book comprises 28 chapters. It reviews the incident in Luke chapter 24 vs. 49 where Jesus charges his Apostle to stay in the city of Jerusalem until they are clothed with power from on high.
The early Christian sermons that Luke summarized and recorded form to a very great extent the basis for a reconstruction of the kerygma, and from this point of view, the gospel records were made. Luke's account of how Christianity made its way among Gentiles without discarding the more vital points of Judaism did much toward establishing unity. The account of Paul's arrest in the city of Jerusalem and the trials that followed clearly vindicate Paul in the eyes of any impartial reader. The end of the book is somewhat disappointing because one would expect to read about Paul's trial in Caesar's court, but the account ends rather abruptly. Some people think that Luke intended to write a third volume of his history but was unable to do so. Of this we cannot be certain. However, we are indebted to Luke in no small measure for the two accounts of Christianity that he did write.
