The Presentation of Gender and Sexuality in Any Two Modern Comic Works

By Rosemary Nwadike

Summary

Gender equality, sexuality and feminism have been recurring discourses that have taken over Africa and the world as a whole. These discourses have also been responsible for the production of radical, cultural and political feminists as well as chauvinists and misoginists. Due to its adoption from the western world, Africa has come to terms with these discourses, the number of feminists springing up from Africa has been increasing daily, therefore, the issue of gender and sexuality shall be critically studied and analised in this work, using J. P. Clark’s Wives’ Revolt and Ola Rotimi’s Our Husband has Gone Mad Again.
