Summary

This paper focuses on attitudes as correlates of students academic achievement in mathematics at the senior secondary level. It employed the correlational research design. The instruments for data collection are the questionnaire and mathematics achievement test. The data collected were analyzed using Pearson product moment correlation coefficient. Three hypotheses were tested at 0.5 significant level. The results revealed amongst others that there is a positive significant relationship between students attitude towards Mathematics and students academic achievement in mathematics. It was recommended amongst others that teachers should foster in students positive attitude towards mathematics.
